SEO 2013

Out with the old, in with the new. That’s basically what it boils down to. No longer do you need to have millions of back links and no longer does spammy content help your site rank. If you want to perform well organically you need to start thinking about how to keep up with the ever evolving world of search engine marketing. If you are like most people who knew what SEO was prior to the Penguin and Panda madness, you probably felt the pains and sorrows that came with the algorithm changes in early 2012. Don’t beat yourself up over it, you pretty much had the whole force of the internet Gods against you.

Is link building for SEO 2013 important anymore?

Even I took advantage of the black hat techniques at one point in time, but the bottom line is if you want to have long term success you need to think about the future not the present. In the past, no one thought that having a big audience following your blog or Google Plus page would ever help you rank. No one back in 2011 thought that having external links to many powerful sites would help your page rankings, people thought that was the worst thing you could ever do. The point is, SEO will always change and its the guys that can figure out the change the quickest that will prevail. The guys that don’t change and still build crappy links to your website, well, you probably already know what happens with their clients… The bottom link is if your are paying for spammy links, you are going to regret it, if you are practicing archaic SEO techniques, you are not going to have long term success. The key to staying on top of the curve is to adapt, diversify and use more content!

seo is dead

“SEO is dead, its just a big scam!” — WRONG!

A big issue that has been arising both for the SEO business owner and client is the fact that many people are giving up on SEO and getting burned by companies that do not adapt and simply lie to clients to collect monthly payments. Countless fraudulent SEO companies in Miami have been known to promise the world over a 6 month period only to end up scamming clients for tens of thousands of dollars. For the business owner who is trying to offer SEO as a service, you have to deal with the clients apprehension and disbelief in your pitch because chances are, they probably have heard it all and have been lied to numerous times by phony SEO firms. A talented SEO firm can have trouble getting business from the overly wary prospect and it may cause an uneasy relationship between the client and firm from the start, clients often feel that they have to test the firm in the beginning stages expecting them to fail like the rest. For the client, it almost requires that he or she has to have a good deal of knowledge when it comes to SEO in order to ask the right questions, and track the work being done tediously, at times many clients have to hire a marketing director just to act as the liaison between the SEO provider and the clients company. Many people have lost faith in SEO all together because of the fraudulent companies out there that can’t adapt to the evolving world of SEO, which is truly sad because in all honesty search engine optimization is extremely powerful if done correctly, now more than ever.

The number will never lie, year by year more and more internet users are turning to Google and search engines alike to find products or services. If you can find a good SEO consultant or service provider, like us šŸ˜‰ you should really appreciate the relationship that you have and make the most of it. A good relationship between and SEO service provider and a business can make a great duet destined for success. If you are looking to work with a great company, make sure that you do your homework. Send a competing company the proposals you get and have them look at them to point out flaws, learn something, pick up an SEO book or read some blogs about SEO best practices in 2013. Your business is important to you, SEO is the most powerful form of marketing so it makes sense that you the business owner should know a thing or two about it.
